Default Alternator problems??

my battery gauge starts fluctuating and Im loosing power. My headlight were also flickering. The engine stayed running but would temporally loose power on the gas. I also got a code but haven't got it checked yet. Anybody had a similar experience or know what might be wrong please respond thanks

Don't sound like a alt problem. Sounds like a short or grounding problem. Check over the battery cables and clean them up real good, both ends of both cables.
