Default Alternator just went in my 94SE argh!

i guess i saw it coming i knew it was going to happen i just didn't trust the gauges in my car which i now wish i had. I made it like 3 miles from my house then it died all of a sudden i knew what was going on. Oh well 2 jump made it home ripped the alt out in under 2 mins flat (timed myself lol) but in doing so i think i have an intake manifold leak or something like that it'* dark and didn't feel like checking it out in depth it'* a $200 car so i could care less either i'm just gonna drive it till it dies. another thing to add to the list of problems needing fixing here we go so far.

Oil pressure sending unit (or oil pump who knows low oil pressure)
and glove box door..lol

Oh fun stuff

A lot of that depends on the brand. If you buy the Duralast from AutoZone then you will for sure need that lifetime warranty. The Delcos have much better longevity.

Default Alternators

My first two Delcos went out under warranty. I would think a bigger alternator is needed to power all the electronics. I go to an independent shop now and the last one they put in is working quite well.

Best of the best. Brutally tough, updated bearing design. Several running here. Great warranty too.
