If the problem has been fixed/replaced/repaired and is NOT recurring, you can:\

- Use a tech tool to clear the code

OR

- It will clear itself after 40 (or 50) driving cycles, which as long as it is working properly, I highly recommend

OR

- You can disconnect the negative cable on the battery for 30 minutes and it will clear (I don't recommend this as we have seen too many airmix actuators have problems after battery disonnect, but if you do this, at least turn teh HVAC system "OFF" when reconnecting the battery, then start the car, and only then, turn the system back to "AUTO" or manually select a temp and setting.

Yes,you are right.

I forgot about 50 driving cycles.

Disconnecting battery doesn't clear ECC codes, I tried (probably just add more )

Just want to share on the success

OK just received the actuator from GMParts. Full control of temperatures now and the blinking temperature light no longer occurs.

Very easy fix here - see the glove box, vent in place, and vent removed, also the old actuator with the gear broken on the right side, and the access to the new actuator

Enjoy

Thanks for all the help great forum

Nice article. Pulled my battery when I stored Bonne last fall. Hope I don't have this problem when I hook it back up. Why does the gear break upon hooking the battery back up?

I guess it breaks due to age and being brittle. The actuator tries to cycle open and close and the force cracked the main gear
