Default air ride controll

1993 SSEi Bonneville - Well I think my air pump just took a dump and its not working at all. I checked all fuses #12 and also ELC maxifuse and also the relay. All in good working condition. the inflator in the rear - Can I put air into that shradder valve ( like the old air shocks in the 70'* High Jackers) to lift the rear up if needed and without having the air pump come on will it ruin my air ride suspension?

Cool thank you, I just wanted to know if I could fill up that shradder valve and inflate my shocks with it. I have a seperate air pump and battery jumper that will do the trick, and I am currently looking for a new air pump for my car. Would happen to know if these pumps are rebuildable or can they be fixed.

no,it is not possible to back fill. you could fashion an adapter on the pumps output line to fill.

Absolutely what sonoma_zr2 answered. You cannot backfill the struts from that valve.

Maybe a little troubleshooting is on the menu.

So I cant fill the shocks up by the shradder valve in the back trunk. Looks like I'm gonna have to replace that dang air pump. Dang thing is a pain to take off.

That pump is held on by about 3-4 10mm bolts and is relatively easy to get at. The 96+ are located under the car.

Thanks bill - ya all are to cool man. Ya know what i mean though - its those lil plastic tabs they over killed at the factory holdin these dang terminals in place that ya got to worry not snappin or you'll be at the junky looking for green or gray plastic tabbies. they should have just put comb locks on them instead.
