Default Air compressor

Can anyone tell me why my compressor (suspension) continues to run even when the key is out of the ignition? it appears my struts are good because it pumped them up once I plugged the compressor in but like I said it wont shut off so I had to unplug it agian.

thanks ahead of time.

Because your struts are leaking like a hot air ballon after a ballistic missile went through it.

Check Tecinfo/Suspension. Link at the top of the page.

Seems like I get to share more than one weird experience tonight.
Check to see if the black, plastic cylinder on the back of the compressor head has come loose. There is a clip ring that holds it onto the compressor.

I've had one shake off and the cylinder barely comes loose. Symptoms are that the compressor runs on after shutting off the motor.... and other weird times. See circled piece in drawing:
