Hi Folks,

I am getting ready to fix the foglights on my '93 SE. The foglights are on the lower section of the bumper cover, towards the outside edge, in other words they are not the ones I have seen on either side of the front license plate holder. I have one working and it points way too high. The left -to-right seems ok, as the large "arc" of light is equidistant from the center of the bulb. How do I adjust these lights? What are the best replacement bulbs to buy?

bulbs are 880'* get the brand of your choice.. lots of ppl recommend silverstar, but id go stock

to adjust, get your hand behind there and find the big plastic wing nut and turn it while the lights are on

Gee...it sounds simpler than adjusting the headlights!

John, there is no horizontal adjustment, only the vertical adjustment using the plastic wing nut that Haro called out.

Yep, I went out there and there they were...the plastic adjusting nuts. I sprayed some WD40 on the bolts as they are very tight. There doesnt seem to be enough adjustment left to get it as low as it should go. Is there a method or a process that will show when I have it adjusted correctly? Is it as precise as adjusting headlights, or are the foglights just eyeballed or adjusted "close enough"?

I need to replace a SilverStar already after just a few months...$25.00...
They're adjusted OK, but it looks like Popeye with that one light out.
I'll be keeping spares in the glovebox, just not expensive ones.

Please aim the fog lights so they don't shine up into oncoming driver'* eyes. For one I dislike the fog lights on a few cars that are blinding because they're misaimed.

Thats what I am trying to do...aim them below the headlights. But they seem to be at the end of the vertical adjustment, and yet they are way too high. Now I wonder if I need to take more drastic measures like bending the bracket, and then fine tune the adjustment using the plastic nut.

Napa, Car Quest have them...

Are you turning the wing nut adjusters clockwise as if tightening? You shouldn't have to bend anything.
