Default Aftermarket Steering Wheel in 93 Bonne

Hi, I tried the search, but it didnt come up woth anything related to my question.
I want to replace the steering wheel with a cheap 40 dollar canadian tire wheel. Reason: I hate the bulky, crap steering wheel in the bonne.
I don't care about Airbags and radio controls, I just want a new steering wheel. Is this illegal? Is it simple? Any help would be appreciated.

Can you put your year and model in your signature by editing your profile please? Your general location in your profile would help also.

Legality depends on where you live. But from an insurance standpoint, if you're in a wreck, your insurance company may refuse to pay if you removed or modified a safety device.

the company would probably still pay as long as you informed them of your modification, but generally it should be legal..i had an acryllic steering wheel in my other car which was legal, cuz it still had a horn, but it was illegal because it lit up and flashed, so i only used that once in a while

When you inform them, expect a rate increase. However, do check with your local authorities just to be sure about the legality.
