AC is working but it doesn't blow cold on passenger side
. Even when I put it on defrost the divers side is cold but the passenger side is not. There is no vacuum leak the lever on top of the box is moving when I change from cold to hot and hot to cold. Could it be there is debris in the box or the flap is not sealing correctly? Can I take box down enough or get into it to clean it with out disconnecting the evaporator and heater core? Is there an actuator that controls the drivers side and passenger side separately?

Check the pressure in the A/C system. We've seen it as a very common occurrence when the pressure is low or there isn't enough refrigerant in the system, one side will blow cold and the other won't.

Do you have the dual control digital temp readout system?

You should have an electrical actuator that moves a white plastic arm on the bottom of the heater box and an electrical actuator on top of the box that moves the arm for the passenger side temp.

Is the one on top slipping on the axle when it tries to rotate to move the vane inside? Can you move it by pushing on it yourself? I believe to the left is for colder air. If you can move it with little force, the gear inside is slipping on the axle.

I don't think this generation of Bonneville had the Dual Zone Climate Control option. I also would have to lean towards A/C charge level. The other possibility could be a failing door mix actuator too, but those usually will let you know when they go completely.

Just to add another note, if it does turn out to be a low charge level, let us know, and take that into consideration. Refrigerant in an A/C system doesn't just disappear. If its getting low, there'* a leak that needs to be fixed or it will just leak again.

Thank you for your input it was a little low on freon, I don't think it is leaking I just didn't put enough in when I replaced the compressor. Sorry I didn't respond sooner but I've been away very busy. Thanks again.
