My ABS & Traction Control light was on when I purchased the 95 SSEi earlier this year and since then I replaced both front wheel bearings. When I replaced the drivers side I noticed that the sensor wasn't even pluged in. After replacing the wheel bearing I cleaned up the contacts before plugging it back in but my problem still exist. Below the shifter handle, are there supposed to be any lights on beside the switches, since there aren't any on now? Keep in mind that I have only driven the car from where I purchased it to home so I don't even know how the traction control works. But I do know that the ABS light shouldn't be on while the car is running.

The traction control light by the gear selector would be "on" if traction control is engaged. Pushing the button turns traction control "off", the light by the gear selector would turn off, but the "Traction Control" warning light in the dash would then turn on, letting you know that TC is turned off.

Can anyone offer more advice on any of these issues. I would assume that I need to purchase the obd or whatever to read the engine light code, but is there a some way to bypass that by cossing wires or something. The same goes with the abs and the traction control light. I'm about 65% done and I can't give up.

Thanks Boosty, I'm going to have to put out some feelers to see if anyone has one out there I can borrow. My budget is all gone for this car and I'm not finished yet. Cath is going to Buffalo tomorrow to pick up some parts for the other car......... I think I need to get a Barney like yours.
