Has the light been on since you have owned the car? How long have you owned it? Can you contact the previous owner? If they have already had it looked at and just unplugged the sensor it could save you some time and headaches.

ABS codes can only be read by the dealer. It'll cost you 80 bucks minimum just to get the codes.
Possible issues and their costs:
1. Wheel speed sensor (part of the hub) $125 (assuming you know which one).
2. PMV (pressure modulator valve) located under the airbox. $500 new, $250 used.
3. EBCM (electronic brake control module) located on the firewall under the carpet to the right of your gas pedal. $750 new, $300 used.
5. Wiring.
Those are your major components. I suggest disconnecting all 4 WSS'* and cleaning the contacts, then reassemble them with dielectric grease for starters. Then decide if it'* worth the diagnosis and repair for you.

first i would clean the connectors and try that if it still there then go with plan B

i know if the electronic aspect of the sensor fails you will need to go to the dealer but on my old 92 SE i noticed that as my wheel bearings got worse my abs light went from intermitten to constantly on so my recommendation to you (Dont worry wont cost anything) jack the car up and shake the front end on diagonal sides not top and bottom or side to side. basically put your hands at 2 and 8 O clock positions and feel if there is any play that would mean one of three things wheel bearing tie rods(inner or outer) or ball joints if you feel play bring out the helper have them shake as you check those components.

Thank you for all your help. We do have something going on with the drivers side wheel. When you make a left hand turn you get a vibration till we straighten out the wheel. Could that be some of the problem we are having with the brakes? I dont know if that is connected in any way or not.
