Default 99 Trac & ABS problems!

my buddy has a 99 SE. it has Traction control and ABS. he was turning off the traction everytime he got into the car. but now the second you turn the key the ABS and TRAC OFF lights illuminate and never go out. what should i have him look at?

Thanks a bunch,
Devon

Do a visual check of all of the wiring harnesses behind the wheels. When those lights are on the easiest way to diagnose the system is to have the dealer retrieve the ABS codes.

I just posted a bunch of traction/abs troubleshooting steps in the last week. Try a search with the keyword "PMV" or "EBCM". A 99 is slightly different, but the list should still relate.
