I have had the problem with battery cables, and for me sometimes it takes two people to figure out. One to turn the ignition to start position and the other to twist the positive cable back and forth until it starts. I have tigthen the cable over and over again, but it still lossen up every couple of months. I should replace the bracket that holds the battery in place, this is most likely the reason.

The clicking is the relay. This tells me your battery is either nearly dead, and or your cables are all corroded. You need to clean both ends of the cables. Your not getting enough amps to the starter to turn it over. Have the battery load tested.

As a matter of fact, I DO have a battery problem there is supposed to be a COPPER ring underneath the terminals at the end of the wires. On the positive side the copper is all gone, what happened to it? It seems a previous owner lost it somehow.

Anyway, I had my car towed I did not try jumping it. If there wasn't enough voltage going through the wire because that copper is missing then jumping should get enough power in the system and it should start.

Stay tuned, I'm going to try it this afternoon...

The car would not start with a jump the mechanic we'll have to see if they can figure it out.

I'm not spending much on it!

Nothing worse then thinking you have something that works, and it don't. But all the signs keep pointing back to it, but you just keep saying, it'* good. Glad you fixed the problem.

Default possible no start solution

hey if u havent found a solution, i might have a possible solution if you would like to hear it. its a very simple fix if this is the problem.i had the same problem, the first time this happened, when the car wouldnt crank was at my aunts house, i live right around the block, so when i got home from skool, i drove over there in my 1993 ssei (supercharged) like a 50 second ride, no problem, then once i leave like 3 hours later i get the problem u have, turn key, nothing, no click, lights are on, nothing, a dead car. so my uncle come out to help, he is a huge car guy, got in my car stepped on the brake and shifted from park to neutral then back to park, and then it started right up, the problem is a dirty neutral safety switch, give that a try, there is no fix unless u wanna pay out the butt to remove ur trans and fix it that way, its a simple problem that you can live with, or just shift from park to neutral and start it in neutral, wat ever you like, o and i have 165,000 miles on mine when this started happening, so 175k on your sounds just about right, hope this helps, lemme no ok, thanks
