I need help -- my daughter'* driver'* door will not stay closed, it doesn't seem to be catching the latch. Any suggestions? Thank You!

I'm not sure if this will help but -- when you close the door, it just doesn't stay shut. I've attached some pictures. I really appreciate any help!!!!

is there any visible damage to the striker bolt on the frame? I know this is probably a DUH moment but have you tried to lubricate the catch in the door? sometimes the catch can get flipped shut while the door is open and when you try to close it it just bounces off the striker bolt w/ a resounding thud.

i really can't offer anything more... make sure the striker bolt is still there
