Default 97' Bonneville stalling

Hey guys

Seems i have an old problem that I had thought resolved with your help late last year. My 97 has started stalling again when driving. It starts great in the AM and makes it almost all the way to work (40 miles) before it will stall, have to through it in neutral and crank it 3 or 4 times to get it started. Then its fine for like 20 mins or so before it does it again, this continues till it has sat and cooled down.
On the way home at night it does it sooner then in the morning. Now it doesn't just stall right out. It actually starts to bog its self down when its going to do it. I the engine is still running but pressing the gas even all the way to the floor doesn't increase the RPM'* at all. then it dies. It will start usually with in 3 cranks but it doesn't matter if im at a stop light or doing 70 it just stalls.

Some one had said it may be a bad Catalytic Converter is this a possibility?

The odd thing is that it didn't do it all winter, I live in NC and it was a cold one this year. but as soon as the temp started getting into the 50-60'* the problems started all over again and im about out of ideas lol The engine does not over heat, plenty of coolant, and the temp stays right between 170 and 200 or so.

Once again any help would be much appreciated.

Is your engine light on? It does sound like a cat problem. I would also look at getting your fuel pressure check. The fuel pump might be on it'* way out.

funny thing is the check engine light had been on all winter. misfire on cylinder 1 i never could track it down. but when this all started again the light went off and the misfire went away. cars runs and sounds great again.

I have an extra fuel pump, Im going to switch those today and see if that resolves is. I hope so lol cat arent exactly cheap and its always a pain getting the exhaust apart.

thanks for the info

I would start with getting the fuel pressure checked. Sounds like it'* loosing pressure.
