96 Bonny will fire but will not stay running
WOW! Didn't you have power brake problems as well, or a loud vacuum noise to lead you to look there? Amazing how something so simple can have you jumping through so many hoops. I have been known to overlook the obvious and suspect the worst myself.

This is one for us all to file away incase it happens to someone else.
Thanks for all your help

The air was Bypassing the MAF so there was almost no measurement from the MAF showing the PCM that there was more incomming air... Interesting tho...

Hi all
Yeh it was a very strange problem. It ran fine Friday night when I drove home and shut it down. There was absolutely no issues. Saturday morning when I went to start it is when all the symptoms showed up. It must have been just barely in the manifold and then fell out.
I did not have any kind of power brake issues at any time. Very strange deal. And yes it was a lot of work for basically a huge vacuum leak. It is a good thing that we like tinkering with our vehicles or I might be a little mad.
thanks again for everyones ideas
