I see.

In the garage last night I had it running for like 15 minutes, then it acted up: it did spit and sputter and then it did died, and I did give it a little gas which I think made it die.

On the road it does register miles when the cruise control cuts out. Or if the cc is off the car will like around 65-70 spit and sputter so I pull off to the shoulder and it will either keep running and or spit and sputter and die.

But if I'm going down the high way and it is doing this; I tried to give it gas and nothing, no response.

Alright I got a pressure guage and here is what I've found: in PSI....

at off and key up the pump it gos to 48
at running cold it is between 39-46
at running warm for 15 minutes the pump is at 20 at the lowest
at running warm and holding idle at 2500 rpm'* it is at only 22 and it drops lower

and now the pump will not key up until it cools for 15 minutes or so

so I think this has offered me the sulution to this...needs new pump

Thanks...Todd
