Was running fine and then lost most of its power. It then shuddered and then has never restarted. It has had a lot pf problems last few years and replaced a lot of items. It was behaving good for the past 9 months.
When attempting to start it today I heard a slight rumble after the engine stopped cranking. DOES IT SOUND LIKE THE MAIN COMPUTER - EPROM CHIP or could it have jumped time?

Tested the newly installed ICM and coil packs. OK
Replaced every sensor except the MAF.
Has fuel to rail and has spark to plugs. correct pressure.
All new vaccuum line.
Replaced all battery cables.

Next step is to check for fuel injector pulse.
We also like to check for spark at each of the 3 front cylinders.
PCM is a possibilty, 94 & 95'* were the worst years for PCMs.
We haven't seen many (any?) that have jumped timing.

spark
You have spark so that rules out the crank sensor. The ICM was changed so yes check for injector pulse while cranking. If none I agree with Ted, you PCM could be bad or the connector has a bad contact.

Injector pulse?
how do I check it? I also heard a deep thumping in the engine after I stopped cranking it and it sounded like minature internal explosions.

You stated that the fuel pressure is correct. What was the reading & how long will it hold pressure with the key off?

You can check fuel injector pulse with a #194 automotive light bulb. Disconnect the wires going to a fuel injector, straighten the wires from the base of the bulb & insert into the injector harness. Watch the bulb & see if it pulses while someone cranks the engine.

Please make sure the fuel pressure is holding before checking for fuel injector pulse. It'* possible for the upper intake manifold to explode if fuel is leaking past the fuel pressure regulator. Your description of internal explosions is making me nervous. You should also check for fuel in the vacuum line going to the fuel pressure regulator.

Did you check all six plugs for evidence of spark? Is the coolant level up to the top in the radiator and the overflow tank? Have you pulled the plugs to check for the presence of coolant? Low coolant or coolant in cylinders would indicate the common problem described here: http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...e=article&k=38

fixed
problem was the Intake Failure. I used the informantion from http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...e=article&k=38 and it helped 100%.
The DORMAN kit is must and save a lot of money. Thanks to all and see you on the next Bonne problem
