Default 95 problem removing shifter ****

OK, I hope I am posting on the right thread page or whatever. I am trying to remove the floor shift **** on a 95 bonneville ssei I need to get the electronics panel ( seat adjusters, and ride electonics out so I can clean up a the mess someone left for me in my car. I'm afraid the connections are getting corroded. So if anyone can help I would truely appreciate it.

thank
jebonni

Piece of cake. Take a small screwdriver and your keys out to the car. Turn the igniton to on w/o starting, set e brake and shift the car to 1. Looking at the front of the shifter handle that faces the radio you will see a slot with a clip in it. Pull the clip out until the handle lifts off while pressing the button on the handle.

Put shifter in about normal D so that once you remove the two 7mm under the ash tray that whole piece will hinge up.
