Default how do you remove the shifter ****?

I am thinking of getting the Levoc Shift ****, only thing is I cant figure out how you remove the oem shifter.

Ignition on, engine off. Apply brake, shift back to D or lower. Now look at the base of the shifter (Cobra head in your case). See the forward facing lower part of the base that has a slot?

Use a small screwdriver to pry that clip out. Then lift up on the shifter.

thanks, I ordered teh wood/chrome shifter and hopefully in summer get the wood dash kit

Cfoote has the wood kit. It looks very good with one exception. The lock and window switch pods. Because the 96+ ones have a bubbled look to the plastic the wood trim sits up pretty high. It is not moulded to the shape of the switches.

yea i know what u mean, I was actually thinking of the carbon fibre trim to better match the grey panel but my interior is tan and wont look good.
