I just Bought a 1995 Bonneville SE? (series 2 engine) with about 106,000 miles one. paid about 2,100 (not incuding regisration and taxes). the car seems im good condition but ive been driving it and notice a few small things. im wondering if there going to turn into big things?

1: some of the controls on the stearing wheel dont work only one that works is the volume for the radio and it only goes up. also Horn dosent work. is there a easy or cheap fix to this?

2: back seat floors are wet. its been raining here for a week so i figures that might be it?

3: theres a spot on the back truck were the paint is bubbling up. is there anything i can do to keep it from pealing?

4:fan dosent always turn on right away?

5: fuel, and battery gages jump a lot when turning things on or randomly.

any other things i should look out for with this car? i cant afford to much right now. but any improvments i should look into making? parts? etc..

2. do you have a sunroof? if so check the drain tubes. other than that other members will chim in

5. Have your battery and Alternator tested. make sure its a load test. usually can be done at battery shops and some autozones and murrays will do it for free

Randman1 can probably help with the steering wheel controls and horn, I'll bet BillBoost37 can help with the jumpy gauges. You can search on those members names too, to find the posts of interest.

Don't know about the bubbling paint issue, (usually cause water is underneath it) but I hope you find out about the slow fan deal, I'll be watching...my '95 is doing the same thing!

Look in techinfo under common problems for other things to keep an eye on.

Watch your coolant level carefully.

All great advice above. But something simple is get your owner'* manual out and find the fuses for your controls and horn. See if those need replaced.

glad to accualy get resonses (i had the same post on another car fourm and dident receave any).

theres no sun roof, all the controls are *****,
i would take the stearing wheel off and cheak that but my gf had her stearing wheel of her 88 cavilar come completly off when we were on the highway almost killing us so im not touching the wheel (some idiot dident put the nut back on hers when we got a key made for it)

im going to take it to my machanic to have it completly looked at soon.

some other questions i had: what is the tire inflation thing in the truck and how does it work?

If you have auto AC it is normal to have a low blower speed when started cold. It is to keep you from a big blast of cold air. If you control the speed of the blower with the override fan switch you can get a faster blower speed cold. Also if you switch to front defrost it will go to a higher speed sooner. And yes you need the battery and especially the cables checked. One cable goes to your underhood fuse panel and if that is loose or corroded [more likely] it will screw a lot of items up. When one item being on effects another item look for a loose/corrded ground for both items. Often it is a common ground that causes a problem. Hope this helps.
