Default 94 SSEi Trunk Won't Stay Open On It'* Own

Anybody know what the part is that will fix the trunk not staying open. It must be a sping of some sort. I almost cracked my head open because of this. Please help. Thanks!

There are tensioners that can be changed, although it requires some strength. If one of those is broken, then you'll need to replace it, which isn't hard. You should be able to use any 93-99 trunk hinge set, although make sure the 96-99 has the second set of holes in it as the trunk bolt locations changed.
