Default 94 SE spitting and sputtering

Just bought a 94 SE with 3800 for my daughter. It cuts out and sputters randomly. No service lights, gauges are all fine and when it cuts out if I accelerate it comes out out of it and runs decent again for a while. New fuel filter. That'* about all I've done...these computer controlled cars tick me off. It'* never died on me (probably because I gas it when it sputters) but it has died on my daughter a couple times but then starts right back up. Please help.

Well you said it does it when you take off?

So i would check you fuel pressure while driving. and see if it drops when it does it.

Also how new are you plugs and wires?

X2

Just from seeing other posts about similar problems, once the cables are cleaned and put back on, everything is fine.

I'm in Billings, Mt. Service engine light did come on last night so I took it to Checker Auto to have the code read. They told me that my car has an OBDI computer with an OBDII connector and they couldn't read it. They said the only place I could take it to get the code read is the GM dealership??? Does that sound right???
