'93 Pontiac Bonneville engine problems
I'm back!! I posted a week or so ago about my '93 Pontiac Bonneville that is having major issues. It had broken down on me about 3 weeks ago. It started with it just dying, so I replaced the battery and the alternator. After that, it started making a LOUD banging and clicking noise near the engine. I've had 2 people tell me that it sounds like it may be a rod in the engine. I really need help here guys!! I am a single mom of 2, and if the entire engine needs to be replaced, I am out of luck because I cannot afford that. Here are my questions: 1.) Is it possible to replace one rod, or does the entire engine need to be replaced, 2.) If I were to sell it, how much could I honestly get for it?, 3.) Is there anyone who is an awesome mechanic who would be willing to do me a HUGE favor and take an honest look at it for me and give me their HONEST opinion? My youngest is 7 months old so I feel very unsafe without a car. Please, if anyone can help me out here, I would greatly appreciate it!!!

1) Is is possible but your still going to pay a ton for the labor if you rebuild the enitre engine or not.
Has the noise been getting louder?
2) Not sure
3) Where are you located? I'm friends with a few mechanics.

That would be awesome!! If it'* major, do you have any idea how much I could sell it for (or how much you would pay for something like that?) It'* white, little rust (just on the bottom of the doors), and has a brand new battery and alternator.
