Darrel.. For a slightly different problem, it would be best to start a new thread and link to this one.

The car is starting after a couple minutes when the VATS resets itself. This is the beginning of a VATS contact related issue.

My suggestion would be to measure the resistance in your key and bypass the vats system via resistors of the correct value.

I´ve now put a resistor between the contacts without removing/braking the cables.
This makes the car start and there is no problems besides that the security light is constantly on, but that might have to do with me not dissconnecting the cables?

Now I need to find a new Ignition Switch with the right value on the key I suppous?
Any suggestions where to buy? (must be able to ship to Sweden)

Mike...honestly, why change the ignition? Leave the resistor in and smile each time it starts. If a thief wants the car badly enough the security system will not stop someone that has done their homework.

If the light really bugs you get a piece of black electrical tape and.... Ta da no more light .
