I would stick with a 105. I can see no benefit to a 140 if you don't have the electrical demand for it. A 140 amp would probably be a little more pricey also.

If I had a heated windshield would there be a button for it? I keep getting asked that and afaik all I have is the defroster.

Here is the list of companies the auto part store had as far as brands go - Bosch, Machinery Components Inc., or USA Industries. Stay away from any of those??

Thought I would update on the problem -

Took the alt off and to a store way out of the way since the ones near me apparently got their alt testing machines fried by lightning. The manager tested it 3 times and it showed good every time. So we got home and take off the battery terminals. Great, my one year old battery is leaking

So I'll take that in tomorrow and get it replaced and hopefully that solves it
