I posted earlier about my engine making the same noise, my car is still at the machanics house waiting for me to get the money to drop a new motor, what should I tell him to check because (hopefully) I'm having the some problem?

well, i would recomend doing what i did. drop the oil pan first. its only 10mm bolts to get it off. with my air ratchet i had it off in 5 min. took longer to pull the jack and stands out.

did the mech do that yet? i hope he would. and if he did, take a look. you gotta see for yourself.

Default Buick

My mom'* 88 Park Ave is the same way, no oil between changes and purrs and shifts like a kitten. Buick makes a better 3800!
Glad you got it fixed though. Any idea why the starter did that? Was it loose?
