Default 92-94 heads interchangeable

I have a 94 SE with leaking valve guide seals. I am looking at buying a set of 92 heads to do a valve job, mill the head a bit, port and maybe experiment with some custom rockers. Question- do 92'* interchange with 94'*? They are all considered series I...
Thanks
Steve

Don't do the 92 unless you have to. They use a fulcrum rocker instead of roller rockers, and will have more wear, and less power then 93/4 N/A and 93-95 SC heads. Not a big issue, but it'* enough to warrant concern. Keep an eye out, try www.carpart.com or check out the F/* thread on the Index.

If you use the 92 heads, you must swap the entire valvetrain. Jason is right, you don't want to do this.

Default heads

Thanks guys - I appreciate the info. So it looks like I should only use my existing heads or look for some good 93/94 NAs. I am just looking to save some down time.
