Does anyone know whether or not the leather power front seats from any SSEi between '92 and '99 are physically and electrically interchangeable?
I realize that the color of the leather may differ from year to year, but, for example, will the seats from a '98 SSEi bolt to the floor the same way as in a '92 SSEi, and will the electrical connectors fit?
Please comment if you know with certainty.
Thanks.

92-95 Tan are one color
96-99 Tan are slightly lighter
Gray I'm not sure ..but i believe they are all the same color. Unless you are talking two tone.
92-99 Graphite ...far as I know are all the same color.
No idea about the cloth.

the 92 has a different Drivers seat control module and a different connector than the 93-99 but otherwise they are exactly the same....people have said that the 96-99 seats are softer than the 92-95

Bill..you are speaking os SSEi'* 92-99 specifically.
On AL7 seat option which should always have the center console mounted 9 switches. 1993 SLE and Jimmyfloyd learned first hand regarding the power connector to module between 1993 seats and a 1992 wiring harness.
The lower model seats are the ones with switches on the sides. AL7'* have too many adjustments to have them on the side. The 00+ (to my knowledge) are only offered with seat controls on the side or manual setup.

I believe that would a reduced option. In other words someone may have special ordered them that way. Those would not use the center console switches. If you need a blank cover to remove the switches let me know.
They may connect to power and work with the switches on the side, I do not know for sure though.

OK the seats with the controls on the sides are very much different than the seats AL7 seats...if you have the controls on the middle of the center console then you have the AL7'*...the 98 seats that you bought have a considerable less options that the AL7'*....im not sure that the connectors are the same either
Did you buy the ones out of Webster, NY that were posted on here( These Seats )? If so, they are 20 minutes from me. Also, they are the 6-way seats. If you have the 9-way seats with lumbar, then they are not the same. Physically though, they will bolt up. As for power, due to the module difference on the driver'* seat, you might have to find and tap power and ground on both sides. Shouldn't be too hard, but would require some work. If the seats you have do not have lumbar (center switches) then they should be a direct fit (*92 is a funny year though, so no guarentee)
