Can it be swapped to a fixed mast antenna

Sure. But not any easier than another power unit. I'm serious. It'* a 5-minute job and a $20 part from the wrecker.

Yeah, but if you get a fixed non-power antenna, and someone bends it all up, you can get another and just screw the new one in from the top. Might be worth it if you're a long-term target of vandalism.

i had a probelm with mine...well my dad had the problem cuz this was 2 years before i drove it....ours just quit working, and dad got one from a junkyeard easily...i remember going when i was like 14 and i remember not being alowd to go with dad cuz you had to be at least 16 to wander in the junkyard...so i had to saty in the building with that weird guy at the desk.... :?
