recently my 1993 radio died and so i bought a used 1998 cassette radio out of a SE. well the problem is that the steering controls are all messed up now.. the vol up button is actually down, the preset button is volume up, there is no seek down, no power.. in case i lost ya all, the trouble i am having is in the 2 lill wires (data) going into the new radio. actually, the plug that has a purple wire for the climate controll dimmer and the 2 data wires in it is the problem.. has anyone put a newer radio into an older SSE and had the steering controls work? Or am i just wasting time trying to figure it out? Thanks for any input...

Any questions? You have the steering wheel controls plugged into the wrong pin. Try the No. 13 pin instead. And, oh yeah, how is the VF display on the climate control?
