James,
Lets review the picture that Randman1 uploaded earlier, I think you are not looking in the right spot. I uploaded the same pic but with some markings for you to look at.
Look at the BLUE CIRCLE, those are the vacuum lines, look at the arrow, it is pointing to the purple incoming vacuum line. That purple line connects to a Y in the vacuum line near the stut, check randmans explaination of where it is.
You need to get to that spot in the lines and check the 3 directions of hoses to see if you are losing any vacuum.......

I couldn't have said it better myself.

None of the vacuum lines pass through the control head with the electronic system. The lines do pass through the control head for the manual system though.

Run for the hills, its an epidemic. Hide your bonnies. I just got hit by the "no A/C from center vents" yesterday. I am following the steps from the threads, thanks guys.

Default HVAC ATTACK

Ahhh,, Someone feels the pain. I thought that I was a freak of nature or something. I new it did'nt have vacuum lines coming from it. Wow.

Now back to the drawing board. And Nick, still a big thank you... We just have a little different units. I wish I had a manual unit like yours.

This one is all hidden. I am unable to find the " junction area" if there is one. The place that the vaccum line comes into the dash is now a mystery. I see it on the engine side but not the cab side.

Any suggestions from here?

James, I believe that Nick does have the ECC, not the manual. In his first post, he mentioned "rocker" switch and digital readout.

that is correct, I have a EEC unit, I did not remove the HAVC unit from the underside of the dash but I was able to see the vacuum junction of all the lines attached to it.
I will repeat it again, I DID NOT SEE MY HAVC UNIT, BUT I WAS ABLE TO SEE THE JUNCTION......

randman1, thanks, you taught me well......

Maybe those "wires" are the vacuum lines. Nick, I am assuming the lines are small diameter that would resemble wires.

Probobly not they must be wires. The unit has to get power. Through the wires. Randman or someone has com=nfirmed that there are electical hvac units that dont have vacuum lines coming out of them. Ill just need to wait and see if anyone will post something new for me to go on.

Yes those wires are the vacuum lines, I thought they were electric wires but they are not, they are vacuum lines that look remarkably like electric wires...........
