It sounds like that you may have an electrical problem along with an internal problem.

so would the easiest thing be to just pull it out and have it rebuilt?

Or pull it out and replace it with another. Used parts are frequently less expensive than a rebuild.

but when u get used parts you never really know what u are getting, i would think in the long run it would be worth a rebuild then i know it will be fine and i should not have to tear it back out..

Right, that'* the chance you take. I have looked around and found a local yard that has a 6 month unlimited warranty. I'm willing to spend time in the garage to save myself further money.

A trans might cost me $200 used with known mileage and I'd look for a SERTA sticker. (GM factory rebuild)
A rebuild (even doing it myself) costs me about $600 in parts.

It'* physically possible. The passenger side axle would need to be changed with one from the HD car because the HD diff and diff cover is longer. The problem would be reprogramming for the gear ratio change.

okk i plugged the car into a scanner and came up with two codes only so here they are

p1860 Torque Convertor Clutch Pulse Width Modulation Solenoid Circuit
thats one code haha, and the other
p0321 Spark Reference Lost
any one have any ideas?
