Default 1995 Freeze plug removal?

New member here. Pardon any bad etiquette. l'm having a problem with my 95 Bonneville. I forget the make but its pretty plain. No supercharger or anything of the like.

Developed a pretty bad coolant leak today coming out form the driver'* side of the engine (on a line intersecting the plane of the left front wheel). It'* above the head gasket and partially blocked by a couple of pipes (exhaust and ?radiator?). Under pressure, it literally shoots out fluid the diameter of a thin toothpick. Very red-mud-of-oklahoma in color. I've never changed one before...my mechanical abilities probably outwiegh my mechanical experiences but too stupid to not try anything once.
Please describe freeze plug, process for getting at it, and installation of new one.

Any help greatly appreciated,
Michael

You may have a manifold gasket problem. Check out this link in techinfo.

Also, there'* a small cover on the front of the lower intake manifold, its name escapes me at the moment, that could be leaking.

Edit - And welcome to the Bonneville Club!
