I had a similar situation happen when i was driving down a hill and my car just shut off. I got a new battery and it hasnt happened since. I'm not sure how the new battery would have fixed that problem but it seems to have.
Maybe try a new battery?

From what I gather your car is OBD1 with an OBD2 connector likeall other 94 and 95'*. Itmaytakea special connector...

Give us the scoop on the scantool you're trying to use. You need a tool capable of reading the OBD1 codes, but with an OBD 2 cable. It'* a hybrid.

Every Autozone has different tools. It'* whatever they choose. Most Autozones either don't know about the 94/95 hybrid, or flatly refuse to scan them.

I use an Actron. It will work with the 16-pin cable, but I use a 12-pin on my 93. My cartridge covers 85-95. All GM makes and models including trucks.

Check our Techinfo article. We have a registry of scantool owning members. One may be near you.

Whatever you do, make sure the cartridge will cover your year, and you have the right cable.

I'm thinking along the lines of a bad cam or crank sensor. But before you do either of those get a hardcore code pulled.

murrays does a 'rent-a-tool' kinda thing and the one by my house has one tool that does everything with a change of connector, they also have one with different cards and connectors, i have gotten both of these to work on my 94
