yes but why would it die after removed ? it never died before unless i was driving in gear seldom

That'* a good question. The alternator is suppose to stop charging if it doesn't see voltage on that little wire. You seem to have another issue going on.

its was running better when the wire was hooked up ,but ya dead after i could try it again... you said only do it while engine running so i did and discod it before i shut it off when i did dead..., just jumped battery to start the car started right up but now volt dummy light on when i use headlights or heat wasnt on before ,,but there was a problem when id turn those on but never the dummy light unless it died while driving .the service eng and volt would be on but off as soon as i resart but now meow

i could hear a noise from alt or belt when i hooked up that wire like i hooked up jumper cables like a charging sound can i leave that wire on the pos cable ? or do i have to disconnect it if i turn key off?

You have to leave it disconnected while the engine is off. Something to do with the electronics in the alternator.

Seriously, I think you should take your car to a shop and have them do some tests. If you describe to them the jumper method, it will save them time and probably narrow down your problem.

which original the test wire from alt to batt? im going to do so momentary and see if she dies again ill be back in a minute so tell you the results
