1993 SSEI Oil Pressure Gauge Problem
Hi,
i've done the same things and also i've checked it with a manual Gauge and the pressure is with cold and warm engine perfect.
When i install the old Sending Unit i have full Pressure, so it'* broken, but when i install the new one it show'* 0 Pressure EVER, it doesn't show anything which is lower or higher when the engine is hot or cold. it show'* ever zero. :(

Hi Problem is solved
Thanks for the help.
It was also a broken ground cable...
tztztz, this car does need a lot ground everywhere...
maybe i should build in a few ground cable as a bonus for when one is damaged another could deliver ground
just kidding. i'm glad it'* working now.
Best wishes
Manni

Glad to hear this is fixed. I have the 93 Service manuals, but my mechanic is borrowing them, otherwise I could have gotten the diagrams. Once i get them back I'll let you know incase you need anything else.
i had a few ground problems.
The first and badest was the ground on the fenders. cleaning this ports up didn't had any effect, so i changed the wires and this solved a lot of problems.
than the ground cable on the oil pressure sending unit was broken in the connector.
But do you have full oil pressure when you remove the connector from the sending unit?
First do a manual gauge check to be sure you realy have a good oil pressure. Since i've known that my oil pressure is perfect i searched for everything till i found the problem.
But maybe youre oil pressure is realy bad.
Good Luck
