Default 1992 SSE

Okay I have posted on here a few times and got some responses that really helped..so could someone help me with this problem. I have a 1992 SSE and it recently had problems with not starting but would take a jump, so I got a new battery and put in it and it starts up now........Problem: When I have the car idleing or have been driving it for awhile it just dies out of no where? I don't understand what the problem is. I dont drive it hardly unless I am going somewhere near by in fear of it killing in the intersection or something! Can someone give me some ideas or something. P.*. a friend of mine had mentioned a bad alternater? Does that sound right or not? any advise is better than none!

Well, Is the "Service Engine Soon" light on?

Seeing as you mention that it'* only after it'* been running for a while, Does it struggle then die, or cut out quickly?

Could be ignition or cooling, maybe ECT.

Yeah...it could be so many things. Whether or not the check engine light is on, or has been, is quite helpful. If it is, pull the codes per the techinfo article.

I had a bad crank sensor, would die, not set a code and would restart later (minutes, hours, overnight).
