I'm gonna pay the tranny shop a visit in the morning, lucky I have a warranty. And they even get to play for my tow.
Where do you see a hole? I'm sure there is one there but I cant see it.

Sorry to hear (see) that!! After reading this thread I remembered yours was rebuilt. Thank God for the warranty. Is your tranny Rebuilt for GM (Service Replacement Transmission Assembly)? That'* what mine is. I don't even know when it was rebuilt. I hope I don't have some freak problem like that. You had no warning signs right?
Thank God no tranny fluid caught fire on that rear exhaust manifold. Keep us posted! :?

I'll have to take a look at mine when I get home, with this pic as a comparison. Don, I think you're on the money. The giveaway is the right halfshaft location.......I bet we lost a planetary. Sun gears seem to be bulletproof, but when a planetary lets go, you get SSEi95 and Hector'* results. Catastrophic. And the Baron isn't putting down enough power with his mods to be at fault.

Yours:
Mine:
You have something MAJORLY blown out there. Stuff where stuff shouldn't be, and catastrophic fluid loss. Your power steering is unrelated, unless some shrapnel punctured something else.

I called the tranny shop this morning to tell him what happened. The first thing he said was "were you spinning the tires". Already he'* trying to put it on me I think. Tow truck will be here tonight to drop it off to them.

If they get nasty, be ready to mention hiring an attorney. The timing of this 'threat' is critical. Not too soon, not too late. That tranny should have been rated higher than your torque or hp, regardless of spinning tires.
