I was at Autozone and the O2sensor that I was going to buy they were asking me if I needed the one before the cat or after the cat......how can I tell which one I need?

The one in front of the cat is usually the one that goes so I would almost gaurentee thats the one you need.

Wait don't buy it from autozone.

They have Bocsh parts, go with AC Delco off of gmpartsdirect.com or the dealer if you have to. Bocsh parts seem to have lots of problems with our cars. They don't last very long.

Agreed. Don't count on a Bosch O2 lasting longer than 3 months.

The O2 in your rear exhaust manifold is the one that can affect your fuel mileage. The O2 after the Catalytic Converter is simply there for emissions purposes, to make sure the Cat is doing it'* job. It can have no effect on driveability or mileage.
