Is your'* SC'd right now? Why do you want to replace it? Might be easier to just fix whatever is broken as it happens. And for rebuilds, it really depends on where you go and how good of a rebuild you want. You could probably find a low mileage used engine for a descent price or spend thousands on getting a really good-strong one rebuilt. Hell, if you do switch out the engine, why not do a series 2 swap?

Well, your best bet is to join MNBonnevilleclub.com and post a request on there. We have a few members that stop by every day or two and checkup on things. They seem to frequent our salvage yards and some work there too. I'm sure one of them can point you in the right direction.

You're going to crap a trans before that engine. Consider that before you spend any money.

Yes will is right. The trans RARELY (if ever) outlasts the engine in our cars. I have proof of this as my tranny is out of the game and my engine is running like it did when it was new!

Don't worry about your engine as long as you change the oil and do the basic maintanence, and aren't at WOT all the time, you will not have a problem with it.
