Default Won't start

Hey guys new here..... my car wouldn't start this morning
i turn the key and the starter engine woops one time and then it just dies.... the lights and all other electronics in the car still work fine and i don't se ant indications of a powersurge from the light shinig less bright then usua.....any thoughts???

Its important to include your year and model, there may issues specific to it.

After it turns once does it immediately make a rapid "CLICK" noise? Have you tried jumping it?

The model is a 1990 Bonneville SSI, 170 hp (By the way i'm swedish so if my english terms for stuff inside the car does not sound like something you've heard of before then ask me to explain them again.)

ANd no the engine does not start for a second.... the starterengine does turnover once before it gives up.

Often a poor battery or battery connection (the positive battery connection is prone to corrosion) will turn the engine briefly and than the solenoid will make a click-click-click sound for as long as you hold the key. About once per second.
