Wiper parking problem. Poor design anyways..

Will someone please pull the wiper arm off and see if this problem is a simple fix with wiper arm adjustment. C'mon...who'* the brave one? I did this to both my 95 and 97 because they no longer parked properly.

haha, this is so funny, because this has always annoyed me...I was thinking...and maybe someone who lives in a cold climate might know what I mean, the snow...it kinda blocks them from going down...I just thought that the motor might have gotten stripped from that. Well anyways, its just one of those things I never thought about until now. So yeah, if the newer ones fit and will work...GOOD!!!

Ok, I tried it.
Don't bother trying, its a keyed spline, only fits one way... :(
Well, any other ideas? I borrowed some reflex blades, and made no difference. Perhaps if i replace that trim, make it glide down easier, or use some kind of lubricant?

I have never noticed mine doing this. I had to go outside and look with a flashlight just now to seee what yuse guys were talking aboot.
I don't know if it is because I use Rain X like a religion or ??? It seems to make the glass slicker so the water beads off. If you don't use Rain X and have this problem, try it and see if it helps. I use the wipe on kind and the jug refill kind both. I am a BELIEVER!
Another possibility, since my car has always lived in the no snow South maybe you guys that are experiencing this have wiper arms that have been brutalized by fifteen or so winters' worth of snow and ice such that they have become slightly bent or warped. I don't know how you could tell or what you could do to fix that, except replace them with ones that park correctly.
Before you envy me, it was 98 degrees F here today, with 60% humidity.
I don't know if it is because I use Rain X like a religion or ??? It seems to make the glass slicker so the water beads off. If you don't use Rain X and have this problem, try it and see if it helps. I use the wipe on kind and the jug refill kind both. I am a BELIEVER!

My car is a Florida car, it started its life In Cocoa FL 20 miles from me... Was bought at what used to be Bob Fischer Pontiac... It was traded years later and I got it for cheap.. I am the second owner of this FL car and I too have the wiper issue... I think something internally is out of whack... I think I will make an adjustment to the splines... If that doesn't work, I'll see if I can find a new unit
