Well I guess all good things must come to an end. My 91 bonneville SSE that I was going to take home is a no go. Found out that the frame is rotted :( . An expensive repair and not one I am about to take on. Good news is I am still a bonneville owner. I am purchasing a 1989 SSE and a 1987 LE. The 91 will be used for parts. So out of something bad comes something good I get 2 cars for the price of one as the 87 has some rear damage but its only a quarter panel nothing serious. Got to love having a Summer and winter car

Believe it or not, this is a common problem in Florida. Part of the reason I live in Orlando when I grew up on the coast is that I do not like wathching things rust. Here it is usually upper body and around windshield frames with one exception: those dummies who insist on driving their cars in the surf at Daytona and Ormond (now marked off so not as much of a problem as it was). One pass through the surf=about a three year life for the car. I always cringe at commercials showing a new car happilily sliding through a wet ocean beach.

Yea ocean climates are really bad for the salt....
I live in Nova Scotia... we are one big pennisula surrounded by salt water and salt air 365... plus are roads have salt on them 6 months of the year.... :P
