I found a 1990 SE for sale. Aparently its in pretty good shape, lots of new parts. My plan is to store my 1991 SSE for the winter, as I'm hoping to have it painted at the end of the summer, I don't want to drive it through the winter
. Any suggestions relating to storage?
Or does anyone know a good place that the car would be safe and for a reasonable price?

Hmm, I'm no expert on this subject, but if I was to store the car, I would take off the tires. So that the rubber doesn't sit in one position for months in row...
Also, I would regularily run the car, turn it on, let it warm up, get the fluids running throughout ext. Make sure the injectors and fuel lines are clean. On nicer winter days, ie. not a lot of salt or snow etc, take it out for a drive.
What kinda storage you considering? heated or unheated garage, storage facility away from home?
Give us the 411 on that

I was thinking away from home heated garage. But I don't know where or how $$. I do agree with you about the tires though. I think that I actually saw the 90 SE in town today. Paint looks real shitty, but no major rust though.
Apparently there is a sweet 88 SSE for sale at a gas station at the corner of Ossington and Harbord in TO
Might be a better deal then some fading SE.
Get it before Jr drives up and steals it

When I stored my car for 3 months, I was advised to leave the tires ON the car.
The idea was that the coil springs would not sag, and thus less chance of, rust?.. if that sounds right.
I just put some stuff in the fuel tank before I stored her away, fuel stabilizer I believe, and I had someone turn her over for 5mins once a week.
When I took her out of storage, she drove just fine... no issues.

Good to know
for the info. Did you store it in a heated garage? how much did it cost you ? (don't mind me asking?) I really like what you've done with Black Magic. Very nice car- have any interior pics? I'm trying to get some of mine up- but my idiot roomate keeps forgetting to bring the cable for the digital camera. Its all about the 91'*

I appreciate the info on the 88 SSE- But I think that I'll have to wait a few more months- I've got storage issues right now and I had to spend a bit of $$ recently. But I saw this car again in town this morning- its definitly faded.....

Mike..the car in Toronto, apparently its in PRISTINE shape, so it wouldn't be a beater car thats for sure.
Gotta love how some people really look after these classics

I would second the issue with fuel stabilizer. My 1969 Lincoln has been sitting for many years (It was last licenced in 1988 and last started in 199
. The fuel is bad and the 460 won't start. Good compression, good spark, but the Holley 750 needs to be cleaned and the fuel tank needs to be dropped and cleaned before I can run her again. It is currently on its way out from California. This was my college car in 1988--9 mpg requiring premium leaded
