drove the 88 down and picked up a brake hose,and everything is back to normal ..
the 88 needs IAC cleaning though...idles like crap

Power steering fluid is not brake fluid. You will need to have a complete system flush or it will most likely break down, or feel spongy, the longer its in the system.

Cool a fellow mainer!

I know that very day your talking about. I was driving home from a semi long trip. Couldnt see ****!

However, the same thing happened to me on my 90 bonne SE. Except I was backing out of a driveway. Come to find out a like broke. Replaced ALL lines with stainless steel ones and all rubber hoses. Works great!

How'd your breaks end up working for you?

Also, what part of maine you from?
