Trans won't shift from 1st
My trans in m 90 lesabre LN3 will NOT shift from first, shifting manually and pedelling does nothing. Yesterday we were out and the car was shifting just fine. As is always has. Today the girlfriend went around the corner, she came back and said 'the motor just wind'* up'. So I let it warm up, check the trans fluid idling in park warmed up on level ground. It shows full.
I also checked over the electrical connections to the trans, all the cables, all seems inplace and good.
The trans fluid looks orange-ish on my white rag. Is it time for a filter and flush?
any help is appreciated! thanks!

That sounds like bad news. My car wouldnt shift into 4th gear. I had it rebuilt, and what they found is that the 4th gear clutch didnt fully disengage and it was draggin inside, which wore out the clutch, and melted a few things and burned through a couple other pieces. I was told that its because of low line pressure or something. Maybe thats what happened to you. I hope not for your sake. My fluid was always in new condition too.

Thanks for the help man, here'* this morning'* update:
Wen't up to the trans shop, by the time I got there, it was shifting fine. we think the modulator was frozen up. It seems ok so far, so I am going to go ahead and put a new modulator on. I am going to drop the pan, replace the filter, gasket and oil also.(i've never done it to the car before) I will be checking for any debris in the pan also.
hopefully it was just the modulator, i'll keep ya'll updated. Thanks!
