Strut tower bar hood won't close?
Was atr the bone yard and found a strut tower bar off a 93.
Placed it on my 90 without bolting it and the hood would'nt close?
Has anyone had this problem or is the clearance that close?

I just installed one in the bone a couple months back from a Buick. Also got it from a recycling yard. I bolted it on and it was fine. it is only a couple nuts to take off to try it out. Maybe just try and see.
It very well could be that close.

Mine'* perfectly fine and was from a '92 Buick. I don't have brake fluid reservoir issues - I don't have the original master cylinder, so I don't have to remove the bar to refill fluid.

I might be a little late here, but it also helps to remove the stock metal pieces that are between the strut studs. That gives you another 1/8-3/16" of clearance.
Also, I have the old style non-abs master cylinder, and I can get my cover off just fine. It'* tight, but not too bad. That might vary from car to car though. Good luck.

YES!
Take out those metal flanges only use the bolts provided and its perfect. I had an STB from a 92-99 bolted onto my 89 and it was better then perfect
Best handling mod ever

Not on these cars
An older thread, but you'll see my reply on the way down. *This* thread was why I said what I said above
I might've worded my post weirdly too, I meant cars other than the Bonneville
Sway bar isn't a strut tower bar, unless you've just had a brain fart :P
