put your year and trim level in your sig so we can better help you, im going to assume for now that you had the digital egr. My car has thrown the code before when there was really no problem, 15 minutes later the code went away. Did you try disconnecting the wiring harness from-to the computer and then testing all the solenoids?

Yeah we need to know what kind of EGR valve you have. and the year of your car would help too. Nice to have you on the forum.

I had an EGR code thrown at me for almost a year. My 1987 Bonneville has a negative backpressure EGR valve and an EGR Solenoid that controls it (thus the system is in 2 parts). I replaced my EGR Valve and my solenoid. Turns out the solenoid was the problem but i figured since I had already bought the Valve it wouldn't hurt to leave the new one on.
