Where is the EGR valve on a 92 SE? Can't find it, Haynes manual doesn't help.

had the wheel bearings on the right side replaced yesterday and asked the mechanic to try and find an EGR valve. he looked all around the engine for about 5 minutes before he came up stumped. he said there probably isn't one at all.
