I understand completely!!!! I have a 1998 Buick Century and my drivers window is stuck half way up. I can't pull it up or push it down. No one seems to know how to make this happen. And as you said, all manuals say to begin motor replacement with the window all the way up. HELLO!!! can't make that occur. Good luck to you. Please post when you have an answer and I will also. It is 19 degrees here in Ohio, not a good time for "no window" or even a Plastic covered window.
